A Studio Social add-on

Edit your videos on an actual computer.

Reels, tutorials, behind-the-scenes, you talking to camera — Cut Studio writes the captions, strips the dead air, and puts your words wherever you want them. In your browser, on your own machine, with nothing uploaded anywhere.

Because you have client galleries to deliver, not a phone screen to squint at.

One payment. Not a subscription. Mac or PC.

You have the footage. It's sitting there.

You filmed at the studio last month — behind the scenes, a setup walkthrough, you talking to camera. It's good. You know it's good. And it's still on the card, because posting it means editing on a phone: pinching a timeline the size of a business card while three client emails come in.

The tools built for this assume you're a full-time creator with an afternoon free. You are running a photography business in busy season.

What this is

A video editor that opens in a browser tab on your computer. Drop in a clip, and it does the two jobs that take the longest — writing the captions and cutting the silence — then gets out of your way so you can make it look like yours.

It is not a course, a template pack, or a subscription. It's the tool.

Tutorials

What it actually does

Writes your captions

Inside the tool. No second website, no upload, no queue. It reads your clip on your own machine and times every word to your mouth.

Cuts the dead air

It listens for every pause, shows you where they are, and cuts them. An eight-minute ramble becomes a minute that moves.

Makes one word jump out

Click a word and make it big — in its own face, in italic, in your colour. The look you keep seeing on the Reels you save.

See every font before you pick it

Twenty-seven faces built in — editorial serifs, clean sans, handwritten, bold impact — each one shown in itself. Plus any font on Google Fonts, by name.

Hooks as big as you want them

Hook cards, captions and text blocks each get their own size, face and place. A− and A+ buttons, or just scroll on the preview to make it bigger.

Pops in another video

Drop a second clip on top, picture-in-picture — the session, the result, the behind-the-scenes. Several at once lay out side by side.

Writes the Instagram caption

From what you actually said in the video, in your tone, with hashtags. Copy it and post.

Trims and deletes for real

Not just marking. It rebuilds the clip shorter, so the next step is working on a minute instead of eight.

Exports a finished Reel

Vertical, captions baked in, your logo in the corner, ready to post. Frame by frame, so cuts don't leave a frozen moment.

From members

The same sentence, twice, unprompted.

“Oh my gosh, I finally tried Cut Studio. Thank you — I hate editing on my phone!”

Who's behind it

I built this because I needed it.

I'm Ana Brandt. I photograph maternity and newborn, I run studios in California and New York, and I teach photographers how to run a studio that pays them. I have been hand-coding since I was 22, and I built Cut Studio for my own footage first.

Four steps. That's the whole thing.

1

Drop in your clip

Straight off your phone or your camera. It opens in the browser — no upload, no waiting, no account.

2

Let it find the dead air

It listens to your audio, marks every pause, and cuts them. Keep any you want by clicking it. Trim the top and tail with a button, or drag across the waveform.

3

Write the captions, then make it yours

One button writes them. Then choose the face, the size, the colour, and click the words you want to land — colour them, or make them big. Add a hook card, text blocks, images or a second video anywhere you want them.

4

Export and post

A finished vertical MP4 with everything baked in. It hands you a Save button — no hunting through a downloads folder wondering if it worked.

Questions

Which browsers does it work in?
Use Chrome or Edge. Everything works there, and it's what I use. Safari runs the editor fine, but it refuses to hand over the audio in most .mov files — the kind a proper camera produces — and that's what the captions are timed against. Phone footage in Safari is fine. Camera footage, open it in Chrome. Firefox runs the editor but exports WebM rather than MP4.
How big a video can I load?
Comfortably up to about 1.2 GB and 40 minutes. My own camera files run 500–800 MB for eight minutes and it reads them without complaint. Bigger than that and it switches to a slower method that still works.
Does my footage get uploaded anywhere?
No. This is the part I care most about. The clip is read straight off your machine and stays inside the browser tab. There is no account, no server, and nothing to delete afterwards. Client footage never leaves your computer.
Do I need internet?
For the first load, yes — that's when the speech model downloads, once. After that the editing and exporting happen on your machine.
Can I use my own fonts?
Twenty-seven are built in, and you see each one drawn in itself before you pick it. Beyond those, anything on Google Fonts: type the name and it joins the list — for the captions, the big words, the hook cards and the text blocks.
Is this a course?
No. It's a tool you use, not lessons you watch. There's a walkthrough video so you can see how I work with it, but you're buying the editor.
Do I need to be a Studio Social member?
No. Cut Studio is sold on its own and works on its own. If you are a member, it attaches to the account you already have and you sign in once.
What doesn't it do?
It doesn't stitch several clips together yet, it has no transitions or speed ramps yet, and it doesn't cut you out to lay you over other footage yet. Those are on the roadmap above and they come to you free. If you need all of them today, buy something else today — I'd rather tell you than take your money.
Will it work on my old laptop?
If it runs a current Chrome, it runs this. Writing captions is the heaviest part and it leans on your graphics chip when there is one. An older machine takes longer; it still finishes.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Email me at ana@anabrandt.com and tell me what happened. There's a button inside the tool that copies a report of exactly what your browser did — send me that and I can usually see the problem straight away.

Your footage is still on the card.

It took me longer to build this than it will take you to learn it. One payment, and the next video gets posted.
